Created a new account and again I have many characters in my nickname. Is this the way it should be? Can it be changed somehow?

Thanks for the screenshot. That is expected to show on your account. Your username is there to identify you on Spotify, so it can't change.

Although, you can add or change your display name which replaces the username where it shows on your profile, app, playlists, and Friend Activity. You can do this following these steps.
