My Question or Issue

Curious what adds songs/artists to Daily mixes. I bookmarked maybe 25+ albums in my library and used the option to like all songs on each without clicking on every song individually. but none show up in my mixes. Is it the actual playing of a song that can make it reflect in the mixes? It would take a few days to play all the albums through, so I clicked and each song and let it play for a few seconds and moving on to the next, took a few hours. Would this work?
Also, I'm finding in most of the mixes, the songs are always the same, it just picks up wherever I was when I left off, even a week later.

I keep hearing you're making a hi fi/CD quality tier of service, when will that happen?

I like to go to the music radio, or the singer's radio, there's always something new and cool. And then it ends up appearing in the daily mix 🙂

🇧🇷 Eu gosto de ir para a radio da música, ou rádio do cantor, sempre vem algo novo e legal. E depois acaba aparecendo no mix diário

Thanks. but what I want to do is having most/all songs on various albums affect my daily mix, I just want to know if playing the songs is the key, and if playing for a few seconds is enough

Hey there @vlawde and @brun0_miguel,

Thanks for posting in the Community!
The Daily Mix algorithm is definitely complex and consists of different kinds of layers, but we could be of some help here!

While it's good that your music collection is in the Library, playing the individual songs will also influence what goes in the mixes.
Usually mixes consist of about 70% music you listen to regularly, so if you'd like to see the new songs in there, it's best to listen to them for a few days first 🙂

Hope we could be of help.
Let us know if further questions arise.

Cheers!

Thanks! But will playing the first few seconds of each song count as
listening or does the entire song need to play to affect the mix? Any word
on the hi fi service announced last year?

Dear Elena

I regularly listen to my own music on spotify, but I have never found my own music in one of these daily mixes. Are there criteria for artists to appear in daily mixes? (for example 1000 montly listeners)

I don't know if it's necessairy to say but my artist name is "Stivio" and I have around 300 montly listeners consistently

Kind Regards 🙂
