I want to delete a shared playlist but I did not create it. If I block him will I be taken off the shared playlist as well as the songs I added?

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

To answer your question, no, blocking a user would not remove the playlists or the songs you added there; the playlist would remain the same. If you want to remove the songs you added to a collaborative playlist, you can do it manually. You can do it much faster on the desktop app, since there you can select multiple songs by pressing CTRL/CMD continuously and selecting with the mouse all the songs you added. Once they are all selected, you can right-click and select the option Remove from this playlist. 

After that, you can remove yourself from the playlist by going to the playlist and selecting "Leave the playlist" from the three-dot menu. Then you can remove it from your library.
