My Question or Issue

Hello!

I requested to download my data from Spotify. As I'm sure you know, part of that process involves email verification. However, when I originally clicked the link on my phone, the link did not work (refused to connect me to any web page). I tried a few different things to combat this:

  1. Different browsers
  2. Different WiFi networks
  3. Different devices

I also waited a few hours between attempts in the event that the page was down for some reason, but to no avail.

 

(Granted, I'm not sure how much any of this could possibly be the issue, since I am not too adept at network stuff. Hence, I am here.)

 

Despite all of this, the link still does not work for me, and as a result I am unable to request my data.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

 

I’d recommend requesting a new verification email directly through your account’s privacy settings here: https://www.spotify.com/account/privacy/.

 

Make sure you’re not using a VPN and that you have a stable internet connection when you click on the link in the email.

 

However, if you’re still having trouble after trying this, it might be best to reach out to Support for further assistance: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/.

It turns out I had a VPN active that I didn't think to check.
