Can not change email address

Here is a story:

I registered to spotify few years ago using my facebook account. Unfortunately few months ago the email address I was using got hacked I lost access to it. I changed my email address to a new one everywhere I could, including my facebook. 
Unfortunately I just realized that my spotify account has still the old email address attached. I tried changing it, but with no success
1. I signed out and in again. Email address did not change.
2. Editing email address in account settings is not possible (no input field or edit button in there)
3. Tried removing spotify from connected apps on facebook and then signing out and in again - did not help.
4. There is no option to "disconnect" my account from facebook. I looked through help article saying that you should go to "Settings |> Social |> Disconnect Facebook" and be able to disconnect, but I do not see such option in my desktop app.

How can I update my email address to a new one? I had to create a new, separate spotify  account to ask this question, since "Spotify Community" requires you to confirm your email address, and I can not do it on my "main account" since that email was hacked 😐
