Hello.
I haven't touched Spotify in a while and as I did today, the client told me my IP wouldn't match with my Country Settings. That's kind of strange since, well, its in college but the exact room I was in when I created the account... So well, I want to change my country settings to hear some music, but somehow, that isn't possible. Country setting is grayed out and can't be changed. If tells me "Click here to learn more", which I did, but the help message only tells me that I'm supposed to change my country settings,which is impossible.
I didn't move (since, well, I'm in college), I'm fairly certain that our servers are running over German wires and I'm not using any proxies. What am I missing? Why isn't it working like its supposed to?
Hey @osakasama - few questions:
- Do you have Spotify free/premium/unlimited? Are there any payment details attached to your account (if you have ever subscribed)?
- What country is shown on your online profile?
- What country does http://whatismyipaddress.com/ show you are in?

Also, shouldn't it be kind of unimportant since I should be able to use the free service while I'm still in my homecountry? I understand that sometimes, You are routed over servers from elsewhere BUT our college is near a big Serverhotspot. All traffic of our region is transfered over that spot. So, I belive it tells the truth that my profile and my IP don't match. But, why can't I change my region then when everywhere I turn it tells me to just change my region!
@osakasama - that's all fixed for you. If you login now you'll be able to use your account from Germany.
