I can use Spotify on my iPhone no problem. I can Bluetooth to my Tesla model 3 with no problem. When I try to use the app built into Tesla, it gives me the QR code screen and I scan the code, agree to the conditions in my phone, then the QR code screen stays on the Tesla. I have tried logging out and Back in. I have re-booted the Tesla and don’t know what else to do? How do I get this screen to go away so I can use the app on my car?

My Question or Issue
I can’t get my Tesla Spotify app to recognize that I have logged in. The sign with the QR code keeps coming up. I have logged in/out and rebooted the car to no avail. Works fine on my phone.
Hey @Jwcrane, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I am sorry to hear that you’re having this issue. I see that in your original post, you are on the Free plan. In order to use the Spotify app in your Tesla, you must have a Premium account with Spotify. That may be the reason nothing happens after you scan the QR code. There is more information about the integration and its requirements here.
You can check out the Premium plans available here.

I’m having the same issue. With the latest Tesla software update, the free Spotify account is supposed to work.
Hey @Shawk,
Thanks for your reply. I have been updated to the latest software in my Tesla and have tried to reproduce this issue by creating a free test account. After the QR code scan and logging in through my phone, the screen doesn’t continue. That is because a Premium subscription is required to continue using the native app in the car - and it is mentioned in the requirements here.
You can always use the bluetooth in the Tesla to stream content from your phone to the car without needing to use the Spotify app on the Tesla.
Hope this helps.
Hey, I have a premium family plan with just 3 people on it and when I try to scan the QR code to login the Spotify app on my phone asks for a 6 digit code that’s supposed to appear on my device but nothing else happens on the Tesla nor the phone.
I think the ability to use the free version of Spotify will come out in 2024.38: https://www.notateslaapp.com/software-updates/version/2024.38/release-notes
Tesla now supports Spotify Free in its update 2024.38 and higher. You need to update the firmware to the latest version. Then, you can listen to Spotify on Tesla via its built-in app.
