Cannot join Premium for Family

Cannot join Premium for Family

Hello, I signed up for a Spotify account yesterday and my sister, who has a subscription to Spotify's premium for family, sent me a link so I can join.

However, after many attempts I still cannot join, I keep getting the same message: " We cannot join you to Premium for Family since you have subscribed to Spotify Premium from another store. "

This is very confusing and weird as I made the account just yesterday...since then I've tried all the possible solutions I came across on the Internet: using a different browser, using incognito mode...etc

So...what should I do now?

Using a pre-paid Spotify Premium Card or directly paying Spoitfy (Credit Card etc) can't be considered a "different store purchase".The way I get it is that even if you paid for Spotify through another service (iTunes for example,or a pormotion usually done by a telecommunications company) you can not get Premium for family.What you could do would be to cancell your current subscription and then re-join Premium,this time around using the family packet/bundle,which isn't really cost-effective.Then again you could wait for your current subscription to finish.

(Please note I'm far from being a Spotify expert,and as a result I would prefer to wait a little longer until a specialist takes up this case if I were you).
