Simply log out of your Facebook and Spotify accounts / apps completely. Log into Facebook using new account and then log in to Spotify using your Facebook account to login. That should do the trick, if not try deleting your cache or cookies in Spotify and your Browser.

so when i try this it logs into a different new account, im trying to retain the history from my current account so i can access my top 100 etc

OK, i was able to CLOSE the bad account, but still working on moving my good account to the new facebook

Try just logging in with your email and password instead of signing in via Facebook. That should be a simple solution 🙂

Hey @Tgoogs03,

If you created your Spotify account through Facebook (clicking 'SIGN UP WITH FACEBOOK' when you started with Spotify), you won't be able to disconnect the account from the Facebook profile originally associated with it.

You can create a new Spotify account and take the music of the old account with you to the new one, provided that you saved this music in a playlist in the old account. Check this Spotify answer to find out how.

You can then also connect the new Spotify account to your new Facebook profile, as you can read in this support site article at the section 'Connect or disconnect Facebook'.

Hope you'll find this info useful. We'll be here if we can help any further!

@Mario  it sounds like I'm SOL. as I mentioned before, I'm locked out of that email and trying to erase that facebook. so the best i can hope for is to start at ground zero, OR create one giant monstrosity playlist and follow it from a brand new account, thus losing my history, recommends, playlists/playlist recommends etc and effectively all that makes my premium worth having. Correct me if I'm wrong but unless I keep that facebook(wont be an option for my job) I have to lose the 4 or so years of progress in my listening history I've created/developed

I appreciate you both for attempting to help but I think this just may be beyond saving for spotify at this time

Hey @Tgoogs03,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

If (aside from keeping the music you love) preserving your listening history and related recommendations is your priority and you also need to be accessing the same Spotify account with a different email address as well as not in connection to your old Facebook, you can get in touch with our support team and receive further help by reading the info at the section 'Write to us' in this support page article.

Hope this will be useful. Keep us posted 🙂

Finally managed to hunt down spotify cs team via email(theyre harder to find than Bin Laden!) and i think I've resolved the issue, as theyve reassigned my email account and I changed my password, the only way to know now for sure is to delete the old fb and try connecting the new
