Closing an account with an inactive email

Hi everyone,

 

I’m in Canada and using a 1 person premium account but it’s linked to an email account I can no longer access. I have created an alternate spotify account and moved my playlists over but how can I cancel my subscription with the previous account so I’m not charged twice?

 

I’ve tried every usual venue to access that previous email account with no success.

Welcome to the Spotify Community, and thanks for reaching out to us here!

You don't necessarily need access to the email account to cancel your subscription if you still have access to the Spotify account you're meaning. To cancel your Premium subscription you just need to:

  1. Go to your account page.
  2. Select Cancel plan, under Your plan at the top of the screen, or under Manage your plan.
  3. Continue through to the confirmation message.

Then if you want, you can subscribe to Premium again on the new Spotify account by following the steps on this official support article.
