When using the embed feature for spotify playlists it often does not display correctly on my website. Instead it offers a blank box with a pink border at the top with the words "Sorry, this playlist is empty". The playlist is not playable nor is the tracklist viewable. This occurs roughly 1/3 of the time. It is frustrating and makes me not want to include spotify playlists on my site. Other times it will load a green box with a play button, but the only word that shows is "Undifined". The rest of the time, things look and work fine.
Wondering if Spotify is aware of this, or if other users are having the same issue? Yes, I am using the most current version, but have been having this problem for over a month. Currently this is the page/playlist that is giving me the error, and its unfortuanate b/c it is one of the most visited pages on my site.

My issue resolved itself again.

Having the same problem. Playlists that has worked before are now showing as "Sorry this playlist is empty"

Have you checked your embed code for the missing lists?
Yup. Everything looks the same. The playlists all worked perfectly a few weeks ago, I haven't changed anything and now, they're not working...
[spotify id="spotify:user:%c3%a5sacederlund:playlist:5aUxG3xBU1evBapKRSA7T6" width="300" height="380" /]
The one playlist that is still working is not associated to my account though...
Is this the playlist you are having issues with?

Yeah! Strange...
Did you copy and paste the links directly from the client into the HTML on your website?

Your iframe code seems screwed up - maybe its the escape codes but your code throws up an empty playlist here too - I copied and pasted your first iframe.
Yes, I used the "Copy embed code" on Spotify and pasted it in the html-editor in wordpress.com. Looks like the code above. The playlist that do work is from another user account. Perhaps something is wrong with my Spotify account?
This is the code directly from Spotify:
Works fine as you can see. Put the exactly same code in my wordpress.com html editor and I end up with "Sorry, this playlist i empty".
Ok, wordpress seem to change the Spotify html to the previous code by default.
Like this:
<iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify:user:%c3%a5sacederlund:playlist:5aUxG3xBU1evBapKRSA7T6" width="300" height="380" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>
[spotify id="spotify:user:%c3%a5sacederlund:playlist:5aUxG3xBU1evBapKRSA7T6" width="300" height="380" /]
Just tested this out on my website, are you entering the code on the "Visual" or "Text" option in the editor?
Mine only seems to work on "Text".

I've tried both. Pasting in text, saving in text. Pasting in visual and saving in visual. Pasting in text, saving i visual. Pastig in visual, saving in text...
Read somwhere that using nordic letters (ÅÄÖ) in your user name could cause problems...but then again, it has worked before.
Have you tried Wordpress support? I seem to remember similar issues being discussed there some time ago.
Yes, can't find an answer. I use wordpress.com not .org
This is wordpress.com:s walk through but it doesn't work 😕

Ok, so I think I've found an answear. It seems wordpress.com has changed how it handles the embeded code from Spotify. To copy and paste embed code doesn't work anymore. To get a Spotify player on your blog or website, simply copy the http-link, paste it i Text (html editor) and save it in View.
Seems to work fine now.
Thank you guys for all the input and help 🙂
