Facebook won't stay connected to Spotify account

My Question or Issue

Whenever I try to connect my Spotify account to my Facebook account in either the desktop app or the mobile app, it disconnects as soon as I log out or close the app. My privacy settings on my account overview are set to allow the sharing of data with Facebook and my privacy settings on my Facebook account are set to allow Spotify full access to my data.

We're currently aware of an issue causing the behavior you describe. We suggest you go to this Ongoing Issue and add your vote to it by clicking on the +VOTE


It'll also be useful to subscribe via the three-dots menu in the top right corner next to the title. That'll make sure you stay up to date with any relevant updates about this.

The issue there mentions that changing the process my Facebook data option to on doesn't save, however, mine does. It also mentions that the issue should be fixed, but I just tried again; it still doesn't stay connected. This seems to be a separate issue.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
 

Most common issues can be fixed with a quick reinstall of the app. In some situations however, a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app might be needed. This way, you can start afresh with Spotify on your device. 

 

Check out this help page in order to find the steps for clean reinstall on the relevant device. If that doesn't do the trick, let us know and we'll provide you with further help.
