Facebook

Hi! My old facebook got hacked into and I need to switch over to my new profile. My Spotify is currently using my original facebook account and it is unsalvagable. The hacker even replaced my name, profile picture, place of residency, email, and completely locked me out of the account. I do not want to add all the songs I've put in my library over the past 9 years so if there's a way I can get my account switched over that would be fantastic! Also Facebook support is dog water and would not help me at all.

Hey @KyleCole95

You need to create a new account with a different email address from the one you use for Facebook. That will give you a Spotify username, so you won't have to rely on a Facebook account.

Once you have this new account, fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you migrate your Premium privileges (if you have them), library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

If you like you can link this new account to your new Facebook after the switch.

Check this support page here.

Hope it helps. 🙂
