Friendlist undefined

Hi there,

i have a problem with my friendlist, if i click on it, it just says "Undefined" and i can't see anyone of my friend which have Spotify. Does anybody knows whats the problem with it?

Got the same problem. Logging out/in of fb won't help.

The solution is very simple... the firewall blockes the friends request

add port 4070 as exeption to the firewall

Fair enough. But as many people have that problem, you shouldn't have to manually change settings in the firewall that most users don't understand... Or is it that easy and safe?

Hi,

I'm in Spotify since three days now. One guy I know already added me as a friend (or asked for this?). I have the same problem with the "Undefined" Friendlist. It seems that there is a major problem somewhere maybe with the firewall. But what to do?

I think everybody with this problem would be pleased to be informed how to solve this. Come on, all you Spotify computer nerds: Give an answer!

Hi,

it's me again. With the help of a friend who entered also into Spotify, I found out more now:

The wording "Undefined" was misunderstood by myself (stupidly). It means solely that there are just no friends up to now in your list, that's all.

But how to add friends?

First let me state that I am no Facebook member (and I never will be!). So I am locked in directly as a Spotify user. I don't know how it works to add friends when you are Facebook-connected but via Spotify it is a little tricky. There seems not to be a special search button for friends. To connect to a friend you shall know his/her Spotify-name first.

You can do it like that:

Type into the standard search string on the top the following

spotify:user:yourfriendsname (yourfriendsname to be replaced with the real name of the friend you want to add)

Now you will see this friend and can connect. "Undefined" won't appear anymore.

Up to now we (the non Facebook guys) could not find a better way to add friends. This seems to be related to the Facebook-background and shall hopefully be something smarter sometimes in the bright Spotify future.
