My Question or Issue

I'm unable to login in on Spotify desktop due to a 'firewall error'. I'm able to login to the website so I know my username/Password are correct.

When I tried to play a song on my mobile the first 10 seconds play then it stops and I get a 'No Internet Connection' banner down the bottom. I tried playing on my mobile while connected to the WiFi and connected to mobile data to rule out my physical home internet connection.

We run GetFlix DNS servers for Netflix and Hulu but spotify usually doesn't have issues with GetFlix and has been working without any issues except this morning.

I contacted support via LiveChat and they advised to uninstall the desktop client and download a new setup and reinstall.

This worked and I can now stream on my desktop while still using the GetFlix DNS servers.

Yes, I encounter this problem on mac as well.

I am having the same issue. Cannot connect using mobile, Mac or PC. Getflix just brushed me off, said Spotify must have changed something. If I use Google DNS for example no problems works straight away. Worked fine until yesterday.

Hi shaun33,
Thanks for the advice however I had already tried that without success both on mobile and desktop. However strange thing today both are now working! Something strange must have happened overnight. Spooky.
