I verified my user profile a week ago because i'm a label for real.
But i changed my username because of i don't want to keep it my label's name. It doesn't look nice to me. So, i changed my username. After spotify saw this, they removed my verified badge and my playlists are getting content removed because of false report claims. You must know about it.
I tried to contact with spotify team again and again but this is the last message everytime i see:
What can i do for this now?
Hey @ilhxn,
Thanks for coming to the Community.
Since such matters can only be looked into by the artist support team, I recommend reaching back out to them here. You could try explaining the situation to them in detail.
My personal opinion on this matter is that it's understandable for Spotify to remove the verification from a label profile when the name of the profile no longer represents the label's name, especially if it was changed shortly after getting verified.
But yeah, to get back to to answering your question: you'll need to reach out to the artist support team as they're the only one's who can actually look into this matter and officially confirm things.
Have a great day. 🙂
Thank you. I saw bunch of verified profiles and most of them even not belong to a label and they changed their name. So i thought nothing wrong can happen but yeah i was wrong.
Hey @ilhxn,
That's right, Spotify used to verify profiles for various reasons, but right now it's limited to labels only.
Profiles that were verified many years ago due to other reasons keep their verification as long as they don't abuse it (as far as I know).
Yeahh.. You're right. But what i'm gonna do if my profile won't get verified? Because there's bunch of spam-reporters and they reporting my playlist content. Spotify report bot removes the reported content without even checking it (my playlist name, desc and image). This affects the SEO and harms the playlist bad. So, idk what to do now.
You're able to customize your profile (profile picture and display name) and playlists (cover and description) even without being verified 🙂
As far as I know, verification does not make any difference when one of your playlists gets reported, so I recommend that you add your +VOTE and feedback to this idea: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Playlists-Solution-to-false-abusive-reporting/idi-p/4928...
Thanks!
Yes i can change the playlist info but what if that user reported the playlist when i'm sleeping or my busy time? I need to pay for a bot to do it for me.
If you verify your profile this false report thing wont affect your playlists and your user image.
As mentioned earlier, user profile verification is currently only available to labels.
I recommend adding your +VOTE and feedback to the idea I linked in my previous post, as that's all I can share regarding that matter 🙂
Thanks.
