Lost all my playlists, favourites, followers, etc

Hi

A couple of days ago, I deactivated my Facebook account for a few days. I opened Spotify and started playing some music, but realised that, because my account is linked to my FB, it had automatically reactivated my FB, which I didn't want.

I went into Preferences, disconnected my Spotify from my FB, and then tried logging on again. It didn't work the first few times, but when it did, I seem to have either a duplicate fresh account, or else all my music and connections on Spotify have been erased.

Any info would be great, thanks.

How did you create your account? If you created your account through FB and want an account that isn't connected to FB i suggest you create a new account and contact Spotify support using this contact form and they can help transfer all your playlists etc.

I created it through Spotify, and then subsequently connected it to my FB. I was happy to have it connected to FB, but wanted to temporarily disconnect it while I was deactivated on FB so that it wouldn't reactivate me every time I logged on to play music. That's why I disconnected, but now I have a 'new' blank account with nothing starred, no playlists, no followers, and can't find my 'old' account.

That does seem strange, i would suggest sending a email to Spotify support using this contact form. If you get an automated reply just reply back to speed things up.

Deactivating facebook and keeping spotify without having to get a new acct can be done if you have a premium acct.  you need to log back into facebook so you will have access to your spotify acct.  You then need to create a device password.  click this link to create a device password  http://www.spotify.com/account/set-device-password  Once you receive an email and create your device password, log out/deactivate facebook, then log into spotify on your device using your new numerical username and password provided.
