Made account with Facebook, do not have login information

My Question or Issue

I initially made my account with Facebook, and I would like to create an actual login for it, but Im unable to as i need a password i never set up to do so. How can I find out what is my account password when I never picked one? Is it the same as my Fb password? Can I do something to unlink my Fb from my account and still use it?

Hi kiyachi, welcome to the Community!

You can set a password and unlink Facebook by going through these steps:

1. Open your account page. 
2. Go to Edit login methods, located near the bottom, under Security and privacy.
3. Under "Available login methods", you will see the option "Email and Password".
4. Click the Add, and follow the steps.
5. After you've done that, you can click Remove next to Facebook.

If this doesn't work, check other options at this page.

I haven't been able to get into my Facebook or messenger apps for months now and I've tried repeatedly. This is affecting my Spotify account login for one since it's thru Facebook
