Name not disappearing after disabling listening activity

How do you tell if someone has disabled their listening activity? When I disable my listening activity, I've noticed that my name stays in the people friends activity panel but doesn't update. I don't disappear. Is this a glitch? I thought your name was just supposed to disappear from people's feeds once you disable your listening activity.

Also is it different when you go into a private session, or do you still stay on people's feeds until you get out of the private session?

I believe that the last played song (until the listening activity was disabled or a private session was enabled) will stay there for quite a bit. After some time, if there's no new activity shared, it will disappear from the activity feed.
