Spotify breaks every time I want to add a new login method and for some reason my username is really weird. It keeps saying also on log in page, we've sent you an email regarding the 6 digit code. No email has come through in 30 minutes. In need of assistance...

Resolved, after needing to use a VPN to add my emails and soo on. But the crooked username is not nice. How may I fix it? There is no option for it to be changed.

About the weird username: Spotify generates usernames automatically when you create your account. These names may seem random and, unfortunately, you can't change them directly. 😕

But there is a practical solution: you can set a custom name as your "display name", which appears on your profile and is what other users see when they search for you or view your playlists.

To change your display name:

On mobile: go to Home > Settings (gear icon) > View profile > Edit profile and change your name.

On desktop: click on your name in the top right corner > Profile > Edit Profile.
