Out of offline devices

Out of offline devices

Recently just got a new iPhone and now when I try to download music on my Spotify it’s saying the offline device limit is reached. I can’t find out how to remove other devices.

Hi @Derk3 !

You probably have downloaded music on an older device. If you have access to it, you can remove the downloads either from the Spotify app (Settings > Remove all downloads) or by clearing the app's cache and data.

In case you no longer have access to one of these older devices, where you had downloaded music, you can instead get in touch with the folks over at Customer Support who'll be able to remove them remotely.

Hope this helps.

Hello.

I'm having the same issues. I tried signing out everywhere, and still nothing. Customer service or chat page also doesn't work. I'm stuck here without any downloadable music.

Hey there, @Mobclasher,

At the moment you can have offline content stored on up to 5 devices, so what you can do is simply remove the downloads from another device you've recently used.

Alternatively, you can also wait until the offline license expires on a device which you no longer use. A device can stay offline for a maximum of 30 days, after which all offline content will be disabled and the license will be revoked.

Hope this clears things up. Cheers 🤘

So basically you're telling me I need to wait a month just to wait for a previous device to have its downloaded song to be removed because the license is expired by that time?

Why is there no option to remove remotely or basically why is there no chat support for swift assistance?
