My Question or Issue

I bought a gift card because I want to use this way of payment instead of a credit card. I can't seem to upload the gift card, the system says this card doesn't work with premium duo?

Unfortunately, that’s right—gift cards can’t be applied to discounted plans such as Premium Duo, Premium Family, Premium Student, or trial offers. They can only be applied to Premium Individual plans.

So @AdamDamon , what are people like me, a years-long Premium Family subscriber, supposed to do with a $30 gift card we received as a gift from someone? I realize you aren’t an employee. My ire isn’t directed at you. It is directed at Spotify. Seems like a pretty underhanded business practice from a company I would expect more from. I see its stated on the back of the card in ridiculously “fine” print, right below the much larger and legible “Pay your own subscription or gift to someone special.” That’s a shady and misleading marketing choice to take someone’s $30, without making it very clear and upfront that there’s a real possibility that whoever you give the card to won’t be able to use it.
