Someone is logging into my account and deleting my playlists.

Someone is logging into my account and deleting my playlists.

So I have been using spotify for around 3 years now. Have not had an issue up until now. I recently acquired a new phone a few weeks ago. I loaded spotify up, and for the first few days it was fine. Over the last 4-5 days I've noticed that sometimes my current song playing will change to something I would never listen to. Like someone's using a device connected to my account. They've also deleted all my playlists and added in their own. I've changed my password on facebook which I use to log in, logged out of all devices and someone is still using my account. What else can I do to make sure I dont have to keep dealing with this?

Hi, I have a same exact problem. Did you happen to install newest Win 10 update recently? That's the only thing I can think of now. I did the Win 10 update yesterday and today started to have this problem... Could be also just pure coincidence.

EDIT: I know you mentioned phone client but I'm still asking about Win 10 update just to clear it out.

On my home computer I'm still using win7 but at work I use the latest win10 which has my spotify account logged in. Might be the issue but I want to know how someone is gaining access to my account.

Yes of course it's vatal fault if that's the case and I'm very curios about the reason as well. Reminds me of Steam few months back ago when people were able to access other people wallets... Just a friendly advice, change all your passwords. Especially if you happen to use same (old Facebook password) in some other places.

Thanks for the reply, I have changed my passwords to facebook since I dont think I have a password for spotify specifically but I'll take a look. My password is fairly complex too so somebody shouldnt be brute forcing it. Would be a lot of trouble to get into my facebook account to then only use my spotify account.

Yep. For some reason I'm honestly thinkin that this has something to do with the latest Win 10 update. It wouldn't be the first time when Spotify breaks after the Windows update. But this time it would be huge bug... Or maybe it's just you and me who are logging to each others accounts 😄 I would imagine much bigger **bleep**storm already if this would be global scale issue.
