Spotify Account got hijacked / hacked several times

Spotify Account got hijacked / hacked several times

I usually never complain about anything but there's a serious leak and a problem with Spotify account security and it doesn't seem that I'm the only one.

Just to be clear, I've done everything I could to secure my account and hijacking is still happening.

- Logged out from ALL Devices
- Checked if there's any app access (I've actually never ever connected anything to spotify)
- Changed password (unique and very strong, not used anywhere else)
- Just to be 100% sure I've also changed all passwords on my E-Mail acc and all social media
- I never share my accounts

And I STILL have loggins from USA, Spain, Mexico, Irland and some other countries. HOW is that even possible? There's no way I'm subscribing to
Premium when there's a serious security problem. What even more interessting is - the account gets hijacked und used almost daily even though it's currently set to Free. Why does someone hijack a free account? It doesn't make any sense. Is there anything else I can do to prevent other people using my acc?

Hi there @SkaaX!

I totally understand how frustrating this must be and let's get you in touch with the right folks at Spotify to get this resolved. Spotify works proactively 24/7 with it's dedicated Security team to ensure that the Spotify platform remains secure and has a number of measures in place visible and non visible in order to protect and safeguard data.

In this case, if you reach out to Spotify Support using one of the options here (Chat, Email, Twitter & Facebook) one of Spotify's specialists in their Support Team will be able to take action and get things back on track for you.

I'd also recommend learning more about Protecting your Spotify account in this support article.

Take Care,
