Spotify Premium Expensive

I was going to look into buying spotify premium.. But being at £120/y I dont think I will be.

Why does it cost so much?

Also, the website said Spotify for mobile is free..

I downloaded it on my Windows Phone, turns out I need premium. Weird.

This post explains that the Windows phone app is currently being updated and will be released soon: when it is, the Spotify Free features that are advertised above will become available.

In regards to the costs of Spotify Premium, I think it's a matter of perspective: £10/month is a reasonable price for many, and it would be very difficult for Spotify to pay artists anything if the cost were lowered.

Yes, but surely the lower it is, the more people who buy it?

It's incredibly good value - you get unlimited access to one of the largest music libraries in the world. Compare that with the cost of one CD.

The situation is that if it was something like 2.99, I would be able to pay for it. 10/m is too much for me, I don't make much money, I don't want to get a new job just to pay for spotify -.-

I can't see it getting any cheaper I'm afraid, artists already complain they don't get paid enough from streaming services and Spotify already dish out 70%+ of all subscription fees directly to labels.
