Spotify premium declining BMO Debit card

Hi, I wanted to renew my Spotify premium subscription with my new BMO MasterCard Debit card, but I keep getting a message that tells me "Oops, seems your card or payment provider is having a bad day. Don't worry, no money has been charged. Try again or use another payment method."

Does Spotify not accept debit MasterCards?

We'd recommend checking with your financial institution that the card you're trying to use meets these requirements. Also, it'd help if you tried again with a different web browser, an incognito window, and delete cache cookies.

Hey! Thanks for the help! Apparently, the debit mastercard is a new type of debit card, so a lot of companies haven't implemented it into their payment options yet. I've since used a different credit card to pay for my subscription 🙂
