I tried to create a new spotify account with my new email and a message appeared saying there was already an account with that email. What should I do?
Maybe you already made an account in the past. If you just created the email address someone else used if before. Use the password reset form here. After login you can delete the Account and make yourself a new one.
I have a similar problem but this one, I tried to sign in with my google account by clicking "Sign up with Google" but it said that error. However, I discovered that account of which I've signed in with that google account. So I DELETED THAT ACCOUNT and waited for seven days for that account to be fully deleted. Now after seven days and I tried to sign up by clicking sign up with google it still said that this email is still connected? Please help on how to solve this...
Hey @ScrewUPrick,
Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!
Sometimes it might take longer for an email address to get freed up, after deleting an account. I'd recommend waiting a couple of days more and if the email is not freed up by then, you can reach out to our customer support team, through one of the channels here. They'll be able to have a look backstage and check what's happening with your account 🙂
Hope this info helps. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
well umm i tried it but my other school chromebook doesn't work anymore so i used my other new chromebook but it still says the acoount i have is the account i am SO COUNFUSED RIGHT NOW K WHAT SHOULD L DO PLEASE ANYTHING BUT TO GO TO SPOTIFY AND LISTEN TO SOME SONGS AGIAN UGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Hey @Elihana_,
Thanks for reaching out!
I'm assuming that you're trying to create a new account with an email you've already used to make an account in the past.
Should this be the case, if you do not remember your login credentials, you can reset your password as shown in the replies above 🙂
In case you wish to use your email address on a newly created account, you could instead log in to the one currently associated with your email, change your email address as shown here and then use the freed email on your new account, following the same steps.
In case your issue is somewhat different, do let us know and we'll be happy to assist you further!
Hope this helps 🙌🏼
I don't know but I'm having a similar problem I signed out because I was trying to use family premium and it kept glitching a lot so I signed out and it said I would be able to sign back in but then once I tried to clicking sign in with Google and any other things it said after I used my email and stuff it said this account is already in use
Hey @Callmelizzy,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
Before the login issue, how were you logging in? With a Google login or with direct input of the email address? It's possible your account is created directly with your email address. It's worth trying to input it as a login and not use the Google login.
Let us know how that went.
Cheers!
I just created a new Google Account just to test this and the same message appears, so you have a problem with your devs and how the search engine works, It´s just a loop of the same message, how do you intend to solve this in order to create a new spotify account ?
Hey there @Marreiros,
Thanks for posting in this thread!
Just to check, does this message appear when registering for a completely new Spotify account, or does this happen when you're trying to log in to the app? Does the same issues appear on other devices you use Spotify on?
Keep in mind that if you're currently logged in to a Google account when you're trying to register for Spotify, you might run in to this issue, should you already have a Spotify account linked to that Google account. In this case, make sure you're logged in to the new Google account you're trying to sign up with.
Another option is to link a Google account to an already existing Spotify account. You can do so by following the steps on this page.
Let us know if you have any questions.

My Question or Issue
I have paid for Spotify premium, but with a new account (new email).
In this premium account, is it possible to replace the current email with an email I used in an old Spotify free account, and find everything I had on the old account?
I created account with sportify before so now music distributors share my song on sportify by creating a new account using the same emil I used on the old account, try logging in but it took me to the old account instead of the new one
