Upgrade on Galaxy S4

Upgrade on Galaxy S4

Hi, just upgraded to Premium trial which works well on i pad, PC and Nexus 10 but can only get free version on my Galaxy S4, can anyone help please ??

Is your account showing as premium on your online overview?

 

If it is showing as premium then you should be good to go! Sometimes a quick log out and back in again is needed. If you are still having issues, try a clean reinstallation of the application. 

 

If your account is still showing as free then you have not logged into the account you have upgraded. Double check your details, its amazingly easy to accidentally have two accounts, one with a Spotify username and another using your Facebook details. If you can't find your account, don't subscribe again as you might be billed twice, instead get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to lend a hand.

 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for the help Peter, my online overview shows account as free but I have signed up for premium and this works on my other devices just not the Galaxy, I have changed my Facebook password and done a clean install of Facebook and Spotify but still no joy, can you think of anything I could try please

What username is shown on the receipt you got from spotify when you signed up?

Hi, the user name is 1122182612

Does that match the username shown on your online overview (which says you have Premium)?

Yes thats where I got the number from, I didnt receive an email but it still says Im on Spotify Free, if I view the receipt it has the same number and says 2 days of Spotify Premium

Is it the 30 day free premium trial you signed up for?

I suspect you may have more than one account and you have not logged into the account you have upgraded. Double check your details, its amazingly easy to accidentally have two accounts, one with a Spotify username and another using your Facebook details.

Out of desperation and against advice I have subscribed to premium again using a different payment method and amazingly everthing works as it should so I guess I will have to keep an eye on my outgoings and cancel one subscription if i'm billed twice, thanks very much for all the advice
