Vouchers

Solved!

Vouchers

Hello,

I live in Germany and I'd like to give a Spoitfy voucher as a present to someone. The person who is going to get the voucher does already have an ongoing premium account and pays via paypal monthly (at least I think that). Now I'd like to know what will happen when the person redeems the voucher. Will the bank acount stopped being charged via paypal automatically or is it necessary to take some action (e. g. cancel the current subsciption)?

Thanks

If the person already has a Spotify premium subscription, the voucher will add an additional 30 days (if it's a 1 month voucher) to their current subscription. Basically this means the next time they are due for a montly payment, they won't have to pay. Instead, the voucher takes its place.

They DO NOT need to cancel their current subscription.

For example:

If my montly payment occurred today (4/17/2014) and I applied a 1 month voucher to my account on the same day, I wouldn't have to pay until (6/17/2014) which is 2 months from now.

Hello! Welcome to the community.

The voucher will simply push the billing out into the future. So if it is 3 months' worth, they will not be billed for 3 and then will resume billing on the 4th.

Hope that helps!

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?
