disabling paypal auto debit but not cancelled subscription

I'm one of the loyal premium subscribers of spotify.

I got curious with this scenario.

I'm currently paying monthly using my paypal account and it is auto renew every month.

what if let's say, I disabled the auto debit settings within my paypal account but I never

cancelled the subscription within the spotify website account settings.

what's gonna happen then?, will I get sued?,

will my account just return back to a non-premium version?

No, you won't get sued. Once the payment stops coming across, your account will revert to free. You simply won't have access to the premium features.
