Problem/issue

Hello! My Spotify recommendations are not the same like it used to.

Example:

When I was listening to K-Pop songs, the recommended songs were almost all b-sides that I had never heard before. Unlike usual where the recommended songs would give me songs that I often listen or I familiar with. Can anyone help me with this?

Also, I tried to use another account and it works just like I use everyday. But when I switch to my main account, it's still doesn't work. (I tried to reinstall, log in and log out many times yet it doesn't work.)

Hello,
today, the algorithm of my Spotify started suggesting completely unknown songs instead of the ones it was used to suggest when I start listening a new genre from a specific song. I tried to reinstall the app, to turn off (and then on) the automatic shuffle, but nothing seems to work. Have you ever experienced this issue before? How can I solve it?

Hey there @Kevin220

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community!

Just to confirm, are you referring to the recommended songs that appear under your personal playlists? If so, could you let us know if the songs you're getting recommended there are from the same genre or they're completely unrelated to the playlist?

Also, would you mind checking if the same happens with other personal playlists as well? If not, we'd suggest creating a new playlist and copying all song from your playlist to the new one to see if that makes the difference. You can do this easily on the desktop app, you just need to head to the playlist you mentioned > press Ctrl + A > and drag them to the new playlist.

Keep us posted.

No, it's not from a playlist. It's from a search thingy. When I search for a song and play it, after the song is finished. The next song is a song that I don't usually hear.

Hey @Kevin220

Thanks for the clarification.

Keep in mind that the Autoplay feature ensures continuous playback by automatically playing similar songs after you finished listening to a song, album or playlist. It offers personalized recommendations based on your listening history, Liked songs, etc.

This feature helps you discover new songs and artists you might like, so the recommendations you receive are not necessarily part of your current collection, but rather help you find similar music.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

Hope this clears things up. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
