spotify has blocked my ip address

spotify has blocked my ip address

Spotify was working fine, but the last few days it started to shut down, give errors, and then, for the second day, when I go to open.spotify.com and spotify.com gives an error "Error: Forbidden
Your client does not have permission to get URL / from this server"
The apps on Windows and Android don't work either.

Hey @uandreew ,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Have you already tried to switch the network connections? You can use a hot spot from your mobile phone as an example.

Let us know how that went,

Cheers!

Everything works fine on another network, but I would like to see it work fine on my home network as well.

Hey @uandreew,

Thanks for your reply.

In this case, we'd suggest reaching out to your internet service provider to investigate the possible cause of this issue.

Take care.

He said to contact Spotify 😁

Same issue here, could not even log into here to get help on my home network. Have to use my mobile connection! Is there some process to get IPs unblocked? I can't use Spotify on my desktop or my Google Home at the moment.

The entirety of Spotify's website is blocked for me.

Using a hotspot internet connection via my phone to use Spotify on my desktop is not a solution 😆

Hi there @uandreew

Thanks for your reply.

We understand, however we're afraid there's not much we can do in this case since the issue is isolated to a specific network and we can't unblock it. It's possible that there was a recent change with the ISP and and the connection is being recognized from a different region where the app is not available as that would explain why the service doesn't connect, but works fine using a different one.

If this happened recently, we suggest waiting a few days to see if the service comes back.

Cheers!

“Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.”– Maria von Trapp

My problem was resolved once I reset my modem. I noticed other websites on
the web were showing a similar error so I realized it was not an issue
specifically with Spotify but something broader. Spotify was just the most
obvious one.

We have the same problem in my company, the IP is static, who we can unblock?

Thanks

I've had the exact same problem, did try to contact Spotify support (still ongoing), but as of yet, they have not provided a working solution or explain why this might have happened.  It's a bit complicated here, have 4 computers, any or all of which might be on Spotify at any given time.  I am admin, no one else has access to any of this.
On my Android phone, can log in normally with the Spotify app, but not if I log in via browser on that phone. ???

UPDATE:

I turned off the WAN and LAN autodetect IP function, and amazingly, I can log in again.
Win 10, Google Chrome . . . I recently had one of those mysterious (involuntary) system update downloads from Microsoft, this may have caused this (just a guess).  Everything was working fine, until that happened.  Apparently, a lot of these sys updates are specifically about network security and so on.
At least for now, this annoying nightmare might be over . . .

My Question or Issue

I've been noticing issues for a while, mostly with things just not loading properly, no pictures coming up for playlists, etc., but most notably, my 2024 Wrapped was completely inaccessible from my home PC, or on my phone, unless I was on mobile data. While connected to WiFi, it just came up as black. The AI DJ also does not work on my home network, but will work if I'm on mobile data.

I was also having a very hard time getting the Spotify account page to come up the other day, I'm not sure if this is related.
