Add a local file to a playlist without wifi sync?

Here's my problem:
I have a song that I've got locally stored on my work computer and I want to play it on the spotify app on my phone. 

I added the track to the playlist but since my work computer is connected with cable, not Wifi, it wont recognise any devices and it wont sync. I tried USB and internet sharing with phone through usb but no luck.

Isnt there a location on my phone I can save the track to so the app finds the track and adds it to the playlist?

The only way to add a local file to spotify on android is by synching over the same network I'm afraid. IIf your work computer has wifi, you could try setting up an ad hoc wireless network on it, if your employer has no objections, to synch the track.
