My Question or Issue

My local files that I have on my computer (Windows10) used to work fine and always sync to my phone but now they don't I have done clean installs on both devices and changed the download folder on my desktop. Whenever I try to sync I always get a white exclamation mark I have not changed any settings on my phone or computer so I assume a spotify update changed something please help.

Issue

I downloaded 2 songs, and add them to my PC local files. It ONLY works on PC. The 2 songs I added show up on my phone but I can't play them. I see them in my playlist like any other song, but when I press on it, nothing plays and pops a guide on how to sync. It's incredibly frustrating when you did everything the guide said, just to find out 5 minutes later that it still doesn't work. Tried every single thing, checking the network, reinstalling both the PC and iPhone app. 
PLEASE SOMEONE FIX THIS LOCAL FILE ISSUE!!!

@WhyzMachine Could you send us a screenshot showing how your app looks when you try to synchronize them? This can help us investigate further. 

 

@huyuu We understand you already tried reinstalling. This time could you run a clean reinstall of your desktop and mobile app? This one is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

I did a clean reinstall on both my Windows10 PC and my phone and it still doesn't work below attached is a picture of my phone when trying to sync. One thing that is missing because it disappears so quick is when I open the app a download tab does appear it and says downloading 1/577 songs but then quickly disappears and does not download the songs.

Would you mind trying again with a different internet connection to check if that makes the difference?

 

If this doesn't do the trick, could you let us know how much available storage space does your phone have?

I have tried a different internet connection and it doesn't work and I have
80GB of space.

Thanks for the reply.

 

Can you make sure that ‘Show unavailable songs in playlists’ is turned on in Settings.

 

After that try playing some of the local files on your computer and using Spotify connect start playback on your phone. Are the local files playing on your phone that way?

I turned on show unavailable songs then started playing the songs on my
computer it does show up but as soon as I swap to listening on my phone it
just disappears.

Thank you for your reply and confirmation.

 

In this case we suggest that you contact out customer support and have them remove any possible corrupt device since we can't do that directly from our end.
