Hidden Items from Recents Coming Back

As you know recent playlists, artists or albums are appearing on home screen of Android Spotify app. I am trying to hide them but when I close & open app again all the items that I've hidden are coming back to my home screen and it's very disturbing. Any solutions for this problem?

This has occured to me in the iOS version of the app, but I would just ignore it and clear them again.

They should really add a "clear all" button for that. It might be an Idea already.

I think this happens because of an internet lag of sorts, but I'm not sure.

Are you sure this problem still persists after clearing the recents a second time?

I've deleted them like 10 times or more but they're coming back anyway.

And as an advice; a clear all button (as you said) and an option to pin our favorite items (artist, album, playlist etc.) would be great.

But first of all I hope they can fix this issue.

Okay, so have you tried turning your phone on and off again, reinstalling the app, etc?

Sure I did, but still have the same problem. I am sure it's about the app because I am not the only one who has this issue.

Hmm, how about this:

Open Settings and start Application Manager.

Look for Spotify and tap it.

Press "Clear data."

If it's not greyed out, also press "Clear cache."

I've tried both once and didn't work. But I tried clearing cache again the result is the same, no solution and I can't try clear data again because I did it once and it didn't fix anything so I can't lose my 10~GB music data again it takes too long to downlad it again.

This seems to have stumped me. 😞
