High data usage on android

Im have been having issues with my spotify for the last few weeks , firstly it keeps coming up with " you cant play this song offline" when it is online and since then my data usage has gone thru the roof and i haven't even been using it. I do enjoy using it but now its just enoying and costly if anyone at spotify can help with this would be great ir im just going to can the whole thing find another app

For some reason, my phone used 80 percent of my data starting at 4 am today. My settings say Spotify used the data. But my phone wifi was on and my router has been working all day. Why start at 4 am and why not use my wifi?
