Hello,
I ran out of storage on my phone (S4 Active, android 4.2.2), I tried to delete some playlists that I don't listen offline anymore,
but the space did not free up. I have searched for solution on the internet and found some posts, that says it does not get deleted
instantly, I need to wait some time. Is it true? If yes, then how much time do it takes exactly?
Thank you in advance.

Hi there, it can take a while for offline playlists to get removed after you unflag it as offline.
The best option is to clear your cache completely (from within the Spotify Settings screen at the bottom). You can then re-download the playlists you want on your phone.

Thank you for the reply. If I understand right, the exact time needed is unknown. Also, why is it needed to keep the files downloaded after I marked them for deletion? I marked about 1Gb of songs for deletion 4-5 days ago, and they are still on the phone.
Deleting the cache and redownloading all songs again sounds like a workaround, rather than a final solution.
Correct, I have no idea I'm afraid, I would suspect this is in case someone accidentally presses the button and rather than immediately clearing the cache it leaves it on for a few days.
I suspect if you try logging out and back in again this may force it to refresh.
I tried the logout and login method, it did not help. I had to clear the cache and redownload everything. It's quite annoying that I had to remove and redownload 3 gigs of data just to clean up 1 gb space 😄
Thanks for the help anyway.
