Library lost link to playlists on Android

Library lost link to playlists on Android

On my Samsung Galaxy Note s20, there is a problem with my playlists. The Library tab only remembers liked songs, not any other playlists. It is almost as if they have been deleted, but on desktop they still exist. On Android, I can only find them on the home tab if I listened to them recently. This also means I cannot add songs to my other playlists. The button "add to playlists" does not re-add the playlists.

Hi there @DanAugust,

Thanks for reaching out!

Sounds like you might have another Spotify account. I recommend comparing the username / email address you have on your PC with the one on your Galaxy S20 to see if they match. To check that:

  • Desktop: click on your profile icon in the top right corner > Account - this will take you to your account page. From there select Edit profile to view your user details.
  • Mobile: while on the Home page, swipe left and select Settings and privacy > Account.

If you need any help logging in to the correct account on your phone check out this article.

In case you have only one account, try logging out and signing back in - this will force a resync of the app that may help here. It's also worth performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article.

Cheers 🤘
