Music not pausing when bluetooth disconnects

I have the new Pixel from Google and on numerous occasions when bluetooth disconnects my music continues to play.  This is a bit annoying since I won't realize, and my phone will be streaming for hours using up data in my car.  I used to have an iPhone and this wasn't an issue, so I am guessing its the Android app that isn't working properly.

Update to the latest version (6.9) and it will fix this. I also have a Google Pixel and the latest update have fixed this issue as well as the notication/lock screen bug and bluetooth controls.

Is there a way to stop it from pausing when disconnecting from bluetooth? I want to keep the music playing on my phone without having to go back into Spotify and hit play. I usually disconnect from my bluetooth to go out for a walk and the currently playing song is paused, which I find annoying.

I also find it annoying to pause songs when dropping connection from bluetooth in my case.

Sometimes my car looses connection for a second (no disconnection) and I need to reach my phone and hit play again.

It needs to be just when receiving a call, its pausing and after the call automatically resuming.

There is an app for automatically start spotify when connected to a chosen bluetooth device but its for startup only. If there is a glitch in the connection not disconnection, spotify is pausing immediately and need to manually resume it. That is annoying and need a fix or an option.

Please consider this, create an option and give us freedom 🙂
