I want to play local files from mac in my android phone, but everytime I select a local song from my phone, it says "This song is not available". What should I do???
Thx
Please read the support topic here for assistance setting up local file sync: Listen to local files
Make sure that you are on the same WiFi network and Windows & third party firewalls are configured to allow the Spotify connection through.
Another point to note is that sometimes if a track is stored locally & is also available to stream then when you sync to your device it will automatically use the Spotify streaming version but the data from your playlist. If for some reason the metadata such as track length differs this can cause conflict and break the track. In this instance you are best off removing the local file from your playlist on the desktop and adding the track from the Spotify server then re-sync. This should fix this issue.
The 2 devices were on the same network and I dun hav any anti-virus on, the weird thing is the connect feature in spotify worked perfectly fine, but still I can't play local files.
I'm having the same issue, the problem definitely started within the past month or so (I wiped my phone recently and realized I could no longer play some tracks).
The album shows up on the album list with the green arrow indicating all tracks are downloaded, however, none of the tracks within that album will play. Creating a playlist containing tracks solely from the album causes it to appear completely empty on the app, clicking download has no effect. Selecting the option to download the album causes each track to individually display that it is downloading (at 0%) and then immediately switch back to a not-downloaded state.
The problem persists after clearing all app data.
I marked it as an offline playlist but still the songs were not available. I've uploaded to photos regarding the situation, would you be able to help me take a look and see what is happening? Thankyou
Same problem here.
Mac OS X > Android.
Already tried everything.
Previous local songs are OK, just can't sync new ones.
