My Question or Issue

Ever since upgrading to Pie I have been having an issue where playback is paused frequently. Sometimes after each song it will pause but usually it will only play a few seconds of a song before it pauses. In the notification bar a message will appear saying, "Playback paused - Your account is in use somewhere else." I have tried restarting my phone, clearing the data and cache, and reinstalling Spotify but none of those things have resolved the issue.

First of all, I recommend that you perform a clean reinstall of Spotify on your device. You can find device-specific steps on how to do this in this article.

 

If this has no effect on your issue, then you should take a look at this article, as it sounds like someone else has been accessing your account.
