Hi,
from a couple of days spotify won't stop playing music when an incoming call arrives.
So I hear both call and music that is very annoying
I have to close the application manually.
Anyone have the same problem and have an idea how to fix it ?
Thank you so much

hello i use sony xperia z5 with lollipop with the latest update now stops the sound, but sometimes it does not start from one song to another, or in middle of the song does not start even with stop and play only with the next...
Well I got the Galaxy Note 4 running Lollipop 5.1.1 and spotify 4.7.0.878 and it is very annoying that spotify does not resume after a call or respond to the play button on my bluetooth to restart it. All other music/radio apps work fine, so it is not a bluetooth issue. Happens in my car as well. This needs to be fixed ASAP!
Not solved or a solution. Still happening on Sony Xperia Z5
Hey Spotify! Any update on this? I own a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. I have JayBird X2 wireless bluetooth headphones that I use with my phone and I use my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 for audio in my car.
Randomly - Not all the time but most of the time... When I make a call on my phone I can still hear it coming from my headphones.
I have Skype on my S2 Tab and every time I make a call on it, Spotify will keep playing. Both are running MarshMallow.
I even tried downloading a Beta version of Spotify and it still doesnt pause the music when I make a call.
I hope someone can give me some help. =(

Took a call yesterday while on blue tooth, Music paused and after the 5 minute call music resumed. Looks like issue might be resolved 🙂
How is this a solution...?
Same here. Music won't stop after receiving a call, which is super annoying. If I disconnect any blutooth device, the music output swtiches to my phone (sometimes very loud). It was fine with the last version, but unfortunately I updated the app and all these problems popped up again.
Using Nexus 6 (Android M 6.0.1) (Security Patch 01 June 2016)
Spotify 5.7.0.781 armV7
Please fix this!
Same (intermittent) problem here! latest Spotify app, One Plus Two on Lollipop
Same Problem, extremely annoying - Nexus 5 - Android 6.0.1
Hi,
The same issue for me + I don't know if this point was raised already but widget for spotify does not work at all, I cannot pause nor skip the songs. Additionally, when I want to play music from Android player, Spotify does not stop, it continues playing its track so I get both in my headset (which was not the case before)....
Android 6, Xperia Z3
@Support Team, please fix the issue asap.
For those of you running marshmallow, check that the permission for telephone is enabled in application manager>spotify>permissions. It would be awesome if spotify asked for the relevant permissions when it is installed.
Enabled here and Spotify still seems unable to work like other applications.
same problem. It doesn't stop music during call. Additionally it resumes to play music when I disconnect bluetooth device. It is very annoing. Moto X Force and android 6.0.1
It was ok few days ago. What happened?
Please support.
Hi,
I think I solved the problem. At least for me. I went into application manager, opened up spotify and checked if permissions were enabled. They all were. I turned off all permissions and then exited app manager. I then went back in and re-enabled all permissions. For some reason this resets permissions and everything works. Spotify now pauses with phone calls, allows me to skip and pause songs in my car and open the widget on my phone. Hope this helps.

The solution link does not seem to point to a solution.
Neither Google Play nor Deezer have these problems.
I am using Android 5.1 on a Moto G
