Ruined remote control

Ruined remote control

You ruined the remote control option by requiring a WiFi connection. Please change it back so my phone can control my tablet that's on it's own network. I need it's functionality for my job and you messed it all up.

Hey @makruck1980! Welcome to the Spotify Community!

To setup Spotify Connect your device must be on the same network. After that you can use Spotify Connect anywhere, as shown on this page. Keep in mind that Spotify is for personal, non-commercial use only, you can read more about that in the Terms and Conditions.

Take care! 🙂

I use it in my personal vehicle to play my favorite music and my passengers
favorite music. I drive for uber and Lyft. I use it for my personal use in
my personal vehicle in my personal work as a professional driver. Want to
argue over this? I'm paying for your services and you destroyed the ability
to control the app on my tablet with my phone without being connected
through WiFi. I'm on the same network. Verizon network. There. Does that
satisfy your bull**bleep** excuses? Fix the app or I'll cancel my subscription
and will tell every customer I have every day how horrible your service is
and not to use you anymore. How's that?

Hey @makruck1980!

Your devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network once, after that you can use any other network you'd like. Could you connect them to the same Wi-Fi network and let me know if you can use Spotify Connect after that?

Thanks, take care! 🙂
