Solution for: Samsung galaxy - Lock Screen Widget disappears after pause

My Question or Issue

I've had this issue for some time now on my Samsung S21 and now my S22.

Each time I pause my music using the lock screen, the Spotify controls widget disappears.

My Solution

To fix, ensure the phone isn't closing the Spotify app to save battery:

Open Settings and click on the following:
- 'Battery and device care'

- 'Battery'

- 'Background usage limits'

- 'Never sleeping apps'

- '+'

- 'Spotify'

So sopitfy isn't showing on the app list under battery settings any more and it's saying that the app has used zero percent since it was charged last.
