I signed up for premium a couple of days and had enjoyed the Spotify app on my Sony Xperia Z with kitkat. However today the app has just stopped working. The Spotify app just brings up a blank screen (with the top left hand corner occupied with the simple three stripes of the menu icon).
I have tried reinstalling the app and erasing the SD card completely. Still no joy.

What version of android are you running?
If you are using an external SD card, does removing it then reinstalling spotify on your mobile help?

As mentioned I'm using Kitkat (unless I needed to be more specific?).
Removing the SD card and reinstalling worked a treat. Thanks very much!
Kitkat is 4.4.x and 4.4.2 broke storage on external SD cards. Anyway, glad it worked 🙂

Hey. I am having the same problem, but removing the SD card doesn't help.
Can you try a clean install as detailed in the below guide:
[GUIDE] How to fix common issues for Spotify on Android
OK.
So where have you gotten to? Have you uninstalled the Spotify app?
If not, please do this as you would ordinarily. Once done; open up an app on your phone called 'File Manager'. This should be the file manager already installed on your ROM.
If you don't have the Sony File Manager installed, then you can get it from here.
Now, on opening just get through the standard prompts declining it to do any additional rubbish so that you can get to the below screen. Tap the location selector (1) and then press 'ext_sd'. Once the external sd is selected (this is your SD card BTW) you should tap the 'Browse folders' button (2).
You'll now be in a folder list. Tap on 'Android' (3), then 'Data'....
You'll now see a long list of apps which have installed either fully or partly to your SD card. Scroll down this list and see if you have any folders starting with 'com.spotify....' such as; 'com.spotify.music' (4). If you do, long press on it then press the bin button to delete it (5).
Now repeat this process (from 'Step 1') for 'System Storage'.
After doing this, reboot your phone then try re-installing Spotify and log back in. Hopefully you won't have any crashes. If it still crashes uninstall Spotify again, remove your SD card from the phone and then reboot it.
Again re-install Spotify and log back in. If it opens up OK, you have a corrupt SD card. If it still crashes then there's something wrong with your phone ROM and you'll have to do a factory reset of your device.
Let me know how you get on.
