My Question or Issue

I'm having issues with Spotify connect for a while now on my Denon X2200W.
It's definitly related to Denon or Spotify, since my desktop, my phone (Xiaomi - Android) and girlfriends phone (Samsung) all have the same issues.

The issue: Denon receiver totally flips out when I want to shuffle songs when using spotify connect. When I do that, the Spotify app starts showing songs which aren't even playing. It shows a random song.
When I choose 'next song', Spotify shows a new song in the app and the song on the Denon will change but the song on the Denon will not match the song on my phone. Also when Denon starts playing the song, the song on my phone can change a few times, also when i pressed 'next song' only once.

When I skip a part of the song in the app, the app also shows different songs but the song on the Denon stays the same and skips just fine. I really don't get it, but it's impossible for me to enjoy my music like this.

I searched the spotify forum already but can't find anything like this. I can't be the only one with this issue?

I made a video to see/hear this issue in action:

Thanks in advance!!

Hey @Jorremans,

Thanks for reaching out.

We recommend you log out everywhere and run a clean reinstall on all your devices, this involves deleting the cache files of the app and will force a account wide resynchronization of your info. You can have a look at this guide for the steps relevant to each device.

If that doesn't do the trick, does the same issue occur when connecting to your receiver using Bluetooth or a cable? If it doesn't it's possible that your device no longer supports Spotify Connect. You can find a list of all current devices that do here. It's also a good idea to check if any firmware updates are available for the receiver.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted on how it goes.
