Spotify crashing

Spotify crashing

Hi all,

I am having an issue with spotify on my LG g5 Android phone.

It will play a few songs and then at the end of the current song playback will just stop and I cannot restart it again. The spotify icon in the notification centre goes unresponsive (can't even swipe to close it) so I have to force quit to be able to use the app again. It seems to occur randomly.

I am using spotify in its online mode however listening to a downloaded play list.

Any help would be appreciated

Edit: it has just happened again and when I went back on it it seems to have put me back to the previous song about half way through so I suspect that's where the issue occurred
Thanks

Mike

If it always stops on the same song and it is one you have downloaded, it could be there's a problem with the download. If you remove it from your playlist, is the problem solved?

Unfortunately there seems to be no pattern on the songs it stops on, seems to be different every time. I thought it may have been an issue with a network connection but same has just happened whilst I'm offline too. Think it will be worth me deleting downloads and starting again?

Before you do that, try disabling any power saving modes you may be using, including the android app optimisation as described here as well as any third party memory manager or battery saver app.
