Spotify doesn't read anymore my offline music on sd card

Spotify doesn't read anymore my offline music on sd card

Hi, I'm sorry for my English but I have a serious problem. I have saved all music into the external sd card, but every 3 days spotify doesn't read anymore all the files saved on sd, and starts to download in my internal storage. So I have to clear cache and download again my offline playlist.
If I don't solve this problem I have to erase my premium account. Please help me!

Hi, I have the same or similar problem with a Samsung S5. Previously my problem was that Spotify couldn't go online, so I shut the mobile down, extracted my SD card and tried without it: suddenly Spotify started being online but...WHEN I RE-INSERTED THE SD CARD SPOTIFY DIDN'T RECOGNISE THE FILE DOWNLOADED, AND THE GREEN ARROWS BECAME GREY.
Consequently I re-extracted the SD card, deleted the Spotify folder from the device, unistalled Spotify, re-inserted the SD card, downloaded from Play store and re-installed it:
AT THIS STAGE, AFTER THE LOGIN, THE ARROWS ARE COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED FROM MY SAVED MUSIC AND SPOTIFY DOESN'T READ THE FILE IN THE SD CARD ANYMORE, ALTHOUGH I CHECKED AND THEY ARE THERE, AND I SET THE SD CARD AS DEFAULT STORAGE.

PLEASE HELP!

I'm afraid you're going to have to redownload any music you want offline. Removing the SD card and reinstalling spotify means that spotify no longer recognises the cache on the SD card - this is a rights management thing.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for letting me know your point of view.
To be honest, also when I removed the SD card and before re-installing
Spotify the arrows were there in grey, not in green anymore, and every time
I was listening a saved song it was being flagged with the green arrow as
re-downloaded (I checked the data usage).

So basically if you remove the SD card and re-insert it you have to
re-download the music?

Unfortunately I don't have a wifi connection and I subscribed Spotify
Premium to save data.

In this case there is no point for me to keep the Premium version if at
every problem that Spotify presents I have to lose my data yo fix it.

Bad luck.

Thank you so much
