Spotify for Family won't allow downloads

Solved!

Spotify for Family won't allow downloads

My family member on a family plan can't download songs for offline use using the app on his android phone, but can download it properly if he's using a desktop pc. Please help? TIA.

I'm back with help! ^^

Please try these things:

  • Try to log out from the apps on both devices, and log back in with the exact same credentials.
  • Is your family member able to use other Premium features on the phone such as ad-free listening?
  • Remove all offline devices from the member's account page.
  • If there's an SD card installed, try removing it.

Let me know if that helps, thanks!

Peace

Hey @VertigoXSquared! Welcome to the Spotify Community. ^^

That's odd.

It sounds like your family member is logged into the wrong account.

Be sure to your family member to use the username instead of the email address in the login process. Some a reinstallation of the app can also do the trick.

Let me know if that helps, thanks!

Hi, thanks for responding. I should have mentioned that we tried clearing
the cache on his phone, and reinstalling the app.

In addition, I removed him from the family account, and resent the invite.

All the above options didn't work. And it's really strange as it's working
fine on the app that's downloaded on the PC. It's just his smartphone that
isn't working. 😞
