Hey Guys,
since a few days now my Spotify Android App makes strange sounds. It is deffenetly the Spotify App, becuase I tried different Speakers / Headphones and diffferent other Music Apps.
I have an OnePlus One running Android L (5.0.2) based on cm12 NIGHTLIE's (Cyanogenmod 12). I reinstalled my system and tried different Custom ROM's. It's allways the same.
I also tried to delete Spotify and reinstall, but this didn't work as well.
My brother is using the same custom ROM on a same phone and doesn't have this issues...
Thanks for your Help!
Can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by "strange sounds"?
Please read the guide linked below for details on the most common issues and how to fix them. Usually a clean install is the first step to take and resolves most of the usual issues; the guide details the steps to take to ensure a full 'clean installation' is achieved.
[GUIDE] How to fix common issues for Spotify on Android
Thanks,
I read the Guide and tried the clean install, but unfortunately it still buzzes. I don't know how to discribe this sound.
It appears at apparently random places in every song. The gap between two buzzes is always different. The buzz itself is mostley different. Different tones and lengths.
As I already said: My brother has exactly the same operating system and custom ROM, also rooted and has the same phone. He doesn't have the issues.
Differences between me and my brother:
Dfferent Country: Germany
Different Username
No AK Kernel
Let me try to give you the informations shown like your example.

I recommend you contact Spotify Support using the form here.
You will get an automated reply at first, however if you need to chase them just reply to the email as it does get monitored.
I figuered out that this is a known bug of cm12...
One fix was changing in the build.prop file (which can be found in the system partition) av.offload.enabled=true to false
This unfortunately didn't fix the problem.
The Spotify support doesn't respond either...
Is Spotify Android L ready yet? Or is it just a problem of Cyanogen Mod?

Certainly is Android 5.0.x ready... I've been using it on my M8 with a 5.0.1 GPE ROM & also the newly released 5.0.1 Sense ROM without issue.
If you're running a custom ROM on 5.0 I wonder; can you disable the option to use NuPlayer in Developer options? This is known to cause some media output issues on some devices.
Hmmm. Suggest you try the CM forum and see if they have any ideas. Unfortunately I havent used CM in a few years.
thanks!
I'll do that
